"What Can PSYCH-K® Do For Me?"

I'm glad you asked!

Here's a list of some of the things that are possible with PSYCH-K® which I have paraphrased from the official PSYCH-K® brochure:

Experience abundance in every aspect of your life.

Greatly reduce your levels of stress and anxiety.

Increase and enhance your career opportunities.

Create and grow the relationships you desire and deserve.

Increase your general sense of well being.

Take advantage of the enormous healing powers of your mind.

Increase your sports performance.

Release post traumatic stress.

Deal with fears and phobias.

Put an end to destructive habits such as smoking, overeating and so on.

Increase and enhance your spiritual development.

...and that's just for starters!

What is PSYCH-K®?

Once again, I'm putting some material from my website here on my blog(with a few changes).

For years, motivational speakers and self-help books have been telling us that "attitude is everything," and that a good life is the result of consistently thinking and acting upon positive thoughts. As Henry Ford once said:

"Whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you're right."

This all sounds really great, and it makes sense that positive thinking is a beneficial and sensible habit. But for most people, putting this advice into practice can be very challenging if not almost impossible.

Many of us have tried things like "self talk," repeating positive affirmations, reading inspiring books and being around successful friends. While these are all good things to do, they are often hard to keep up long enough for any real lasting results to occur.
The problem is that while these techniques are perceived to be beneficial by our conscious minds, our subconscious minds can take a lot longer to be convinced.
This is where PSYCH-K® comes in. With PSYCH-K® it is possible (and even easy!) for a person to replace disempowering subconscious beliefs with new positive ones.

With the help and guidance of a Psych-K® facilitator, the client chooses an area of his or her life that could stand some improvement. Then the client and the facilitator work together to come up with some new beliefs that will support the desired change.

When these new beliefs are decided upon, a PSYCH-K® Balance is done for each of them, allowing the client's subconscious mind to accept and act upon them. The process usually only takes a few minutes, allowing for several balances to be done in an hour-long session.

The immediate results can be very dramatic or very subtle, depending on the individual. Over the long term however, PSYCH-K® can bring about great positive changes to a person's attitude and therefore greatly improve the quality of his or her life.

PSYCH-K® is a safe, simple and fun way to change your life for the better. I hope you'll give it a try!

The post below is a "copy and paste" job that I originally wrote for my website. Since not all of the people who come to my blog continue on to my website (although you all should), I'm putting the same information it contains in the next few installments here. I'm also thinking of getting rid of that site and just spreading the word here and with my Squidoo lens. The blog and the lens are much easier for people to find and are getting a lot more traffic.

About Me

In 2008 I had spent over twenty-five years in a field that I had long since grown tired of. Towards the end of that year I found myself stuck in a few personal crises that I won't go into here. I also became aware that some of my friends were living with some serious problems of their own, and I really wished I was able to help them.

All of this, in addition to some lifelong self-esteem issues, finally brought me to a point where I had no choice but to make some major changes. With the goal of improving my own situation, and assisting my friends while I was at it, I started searching the internet for solutions.

I eventually discovered something called "PSYCH-K®," which was described as a way for people to improve their lives by changing their beliefs at both the conscious and subconscious levels.

It made sense to me that better beliefs lead to better actions and, eventually, better results.

But how could I deliberately change what I believed in? I had tried many times before with very little success. If PSYCH-K® could really make it easy to choose and develop new beliefs like its facilitators said it could, then I figured it was definitely something I could benefit from.

I decided to give it a try. It took a while to find a facilitator located in or near Vancouver, but I was eventually directed to Lori-Ann Speed in Deep Cove.

The sessions turned out to be easy and fun! I found the changes I was looking for to be almost undetectable for the first couple of weeks, but I didn't quit. Within a month it was clear to me that my time and money had been well spent on PSYCH-K®, but it didn't stop there.

After a few sessions Lori-Ann suggested that I take the basic PSYCH-K® facilitator training. I was excited by the possibility of using PSYCH-K® to help others, so I went back to the internet to find out when and where I could get this training.

Fortunately, Sandra Wallin was going to be teaching a group in Maple Ridge the following month. It was going to be tough to get out there without a car, but I decided to make the effort. I hadn't counted on the heavy snowfall that we had during and after the training, but I was determined to learn PSYCH-K®!

It was worth it. I've been using PSYCH-K® myself almost every day since then and have no intention of ever stopping. As my skills have improved, I've started using them to help the people around me. This makes me feel really good.

I feel that I'm now ready to make PSYCH-K® my career.

I hope that you found my story interesting, and I thank you for reading it. If you want to take control of your life, I really believe that PSYCH-K® can be useful to you. Please email me if you're interested in a PSYCH-K® session, or even if you just have some questions.

Why PSYCH-K® Should Be Learned From Real Live Teachers, Part 2

Yesterday I posted a comment from a blogger called Woodwhisperer, who questioned the unavailability of books that teach PSYCH-K® and the necessity of going to workshops to learn it.

It was followed by a response by Elizabeth Powers, a certified PSYCH-K® Instructor. Here are couple more messages before I move on to something else:

Deano wrote:

Hi. I have only recently attended the basic workshop.

I found out about psych-k from YouTube. And after studying the clips
and taking notes, I taught myself somewhat how to at least do one of
the techniques. However, after attending the 2 day workshop, I can see
why it isn't in a book. You really need the workshop environment to
grasp and put into practice what is being taught. And a trained
instructor makes a huge difference. I believe personally, if it was
sold as a book, and dvd, the effectiveness and reputation of this
incredible modality would be diluted and less people would benefit from
it. It is a slow climb to get this out to the world, but it is at
least keeping it effective. I mean just imagine if thousands of people
tried to learn it from a book and practice on their friends and they
don't get results. Every time you mentioned PSYCH-K to someone, they
would say "oh yeah I've tried that, it doesn't work".

Just my opinion.

Good day, I am responding to your query because I have had a number of
people (I live in a small community) ask similar questions. It is
interesting how fees always seem to come up, yet the same people
requesting the learning for free, or less expensive can find money for
other "new age" medications or modalities. I have found that within
ourselves, if we are looking and find an answer to what we are looking
for, like PSYCH-K, we put up some of the blocks that PSYCH-K helps
change by bringing in the money quotient.
What if someone asks this question about workshops, well they have
made a first step. One could ask where they are, maybe do some muscle
testing if this is right for them? If the facilitator has done the
advanced class can they spend a momet in surrogation to balance
anything for this person?
If one reads the Statement of Principles, Available to anyone from
http://www.windhorseawareness.com/psych-k.html website it helps put
things in order.
As to the teaching, I feel, as a facilitator in several modalities
including advanced PSYCH-K and PER-K, that it is good to keep the
fundamentals clean. It would be very difficult to teach only through
video or books as each individual already has all of their own biasis
and concious/subconcios beliefs that may hinder the movement and
growth and beauty that occurs in a group, societal setting such as the
workshops.
One should acknowledge I think that all of paths are the right ones. I
do not have a surplus of money, but when needed the money shows up,
especially if I prioritise right.
I have to look at myself and see if I am attracting people who ask
these questions to resolve them for myself? Quite often yes. Be clear
on what you are offering perhaps?
I met Rob Williams in California. I appreciated his devotion to what
he was striving for which more than anything I believe was a healthy
world community. I speak several languages and to me not following his
procedure as he has chosen is sort of like badly translating something
important, it can be unhealthy for all sides in the discussion.
Send him an email, he is human, and can respond. Send the question to
Larry Valmore. This is how a community learns, grows and expands.
Participating in change is healthy, not participating in this change
is sad.
I am very glad you brought this up and thank you for allowing me to
share a few thoughts.

Thanks to all who have taken the time to write and to Woodwhisperer who brought up this issue.

A Long Post, But An Important One.

The post I made last Thursday prompted the following comment from fellow blogger, Woodwhisperer. It brings up a point that I've encountered a few times: why is it necessary to learn PSYCH-K in workshops instead of out of books, which would be far more affordable.

I posted the comment at the Google "Everyday PSYCH-K®" group where the experts could respond. Elizabeth Powers, a Certified PSYCH-K® Instructor, wrote a better answer than one I would have come up with. You can read it yourself after Woodwhisperer's message:

"Hi Bill

OK, Psych-K works. Lots of people say so.

I am a survivor of terminal cancer and a number of near

death experiences have given me a new perspective on

life. I am brilliantly happy to be alive and hopelessly

hopeful for the future.

Psych-K interests me because I would like to compare

it to what has made the profound changes in my

perception of life. It seems it will be a long time before I

learn anything about Psych-K, however, because one

must attend workshops to learn the "details" and I have

neither the money (on disability pension with a young

family), the immune system (I do not have an immune

system and must be extraordinarily careful in public) or

the energy (I am mostly bedridden). Pretty much all my

information comes from reading and it seems Psych-K

cannot be learned from reading. Hmmmmmm.

I am somewhat suspicious of Psych-K being primarily a

new age money making scheme because I must attend

workshops which cost much more than a book. Oh well.

Maybe in another life.

There is never enough good work in the world so if a

few people make a few bucks spreading beliefs which

are balanced and empowering and promote peace and

love, who am I to argue?

All the best."

And here's Elizabeth's reply:

"I appreciate the comments of the person who wrote on the blog. It
must be frustrating being in that situation and unable to attend.

Rob, the founder of PSYCH-K has always held that PSYCH-K needs to be
taught in person and in a classroom. Rob views the transmission of
this information as sacred. He is very concerned that the
transmission of PSYCH-K remains pure. This is why all of his
instructors must go through a rigorous training to make sure that
PSYCH-K is communicated clearly so that its original transmission is
kept.

In a workshop situation, the instructor can answer questions and also
watch how each student is doing the process to assure that both the
understanding of the process and implementation of it are correct and
true to the original form. PSYCH-K is so much more than a
technique. It is a process that he feels strongly can only be
conveyed properly through direct contact. He feels guided to have it
implemented in this way and keeping PSYCH-K pure is essential so that
its power is maintained.

I hope this helps with the understanding. I know it can be
frustrating for folks who can not attend directly due to
circumstances such as described below.

Warmly,

Elizabeth Powers
Certified PSYCH-K Instructor"

All I have to add is this: A few years ago a friend of mine was trying to learn how to speak German. He was picking up the meanings of the words and the proper grammar all right, but his pronunciation was terrible! It turned out that the reason for this is that he was trying to learn exclusively from books. Books are great, but sometimes they aren't enough all by themselves.

D'OH!

Thanks to the weather, I wasn't able to sit out on "the Drive," (Vancouver's Commercial Drive for all of you non-locals).

See, every Sunday (weather permitting) for the past little while, the city has blocked off the street in the afternoons so that only pedestrians and cyclists can move about on it. A lot of the nearby merchants and causes set up tables to let the public know more about what they're up to.

It didn't happen this week because it rained so much. But there's always NEXT week!

UPDATE, TUESDAY AUGUST 11th:

It turns out it wasn't the rain that caused the "No Car Day" to be canceled. The merchants on the street weren't happy, so it's been discontinued. I guess I'll use my other methods for getting the word about PSYCH-K® out.

Happy Thursday!

I've been out today putting my fliers up on bulletin boards and spreading the word. On Sunday afternoon I'll have a table set up on Commercial Drive to tell people about PSYCH-K®.

Come on over and say "Hi" if you see me!

Day Two - An Introduction To Get Things Started.

Before starting this blog yesterday I wrote many variations of the following article and submitted them to various article directories and blogs. I did this to help direct people to my Squidoo lens and to generally spread the word about PSYCH-K® (and me).

Now it's turning up all over the web. Since I'm the one who wrote it, it seems fitting to start this project off by including yet another variation of it here:

Over the past several decades, countless motivational speakers, self-help books and councilors have been advising us that the best way to be happier, healthier and more prosperous is to think good thoughts and to maintain a positive attitude. While this makes perfect sense and that "your altitude is determined by your attitude," it is often difficult and sometimes almost impossible to regulate and control the thoughts that are constantly passing through our minds.

"Positive thinking," reading uplifting books and having optimistic friends have all been suggested as ways to keep one's spirits up and to live a happier, more productive life. This is all good advice, but often old negative thoughts have a way of lingering and getting in the way of one's progress.

Unfortunately, while it is easy for the conscious mind to accept that thinking in a positive way will most likely lead to better results in life, the subconscious mind often resists changing its old ways of operating.

When we are children our subconscious minds are filled with ideas that sometimes aren't in our best interests when we're adults. Conscious means are usually not very effective in changing these ways of thinking.

Fortunately, a technique for changing old limiting beliefs into new empowering ones has been developed in recent years. This technique is called "PSYCH-K®" (short for "psychological kinesiology"), and it has been used to help people live better lives since it first appeared in 1988.

With the guidance of a trained PSYCH-K® facilitator, a client chooses an area of his or her life that is in need of improvement. Then the client and the facilitator work together create some new beliefs that would support the desired change. This is followed by a simple process whereby the client's subconscious mind adopts the new beliefs.

Sometimes the changes are very dramatic and noticeable during the PSYCH-K® session, but they can also be so subtle that they're hard to detect at first. Whether it happens quickly or occurs over a few weeks or months, PSYCH-K can bring about some major differences in a person's thought patterns and behaviors, leading to major positive improvements in the client's life.

PSYCH-K is a safe, simple and fun way to bring about positive and long lasting change. I highly recommend that if you don't like your life the way it is or the way it's going to look further in to what PSYCH-K® can do for you.

Hello, world!

My name is Bill Schwarz, and I'm a PSYCH-K® facilitator.

Welcome to one of my little corners of the internet. If you don't know what PSYCH-K® is yet, I hope you'll come back and read some of my future posts. I'll be writing a lot about it.

I'm guessing, though, that a lot of you are here because you've already heard of PSYCH-K® and found this blog doing a Google search for it. This brings me to my main reason for starting this project.

When I first read a little bit about PSYCH-K® on the internet last year I was going through a really tough time in my life. What I found convinced me to find a PSYCH-K® facilitator in the Vancouver area, so I started searching for one.

Naturally, I tried using the keywords "Vancouver" and "PSYCH-K®" in the search engines. This got me nowhere. If there actually were facilitators with websites around here, I couldn't find them in the jumble of results Google gave me.

I ended up sending emails to facilitators in other parts of North America BEGGING them to inform me of anybody around here who could help. This eventually worked and I found a GREAT facilitator that I could get to.

So now that I'm actually a facilitator myself, I'm trying to make it easy for people in my area to find me by making this blog which features both words in its name. Google tends to rank Blogger blogs very highly (mainly, I suppose, because Blogger is a part of Google), so with a bit of luck this should rank pretty high in the search engines.

Of course, this blog isn't ONLY for Vancouverites. I'd like as many people as possible to find out about PSYCH-K® and its potential to greatly improve lives. Hopefully, I'm playing a part in spreading the news worldwide.

But for those of you living in Vancouver or its surroundings and who might be considering giving PSYCH-K® a try, I invite you to please contact me.
